DavidP17
Hey guys im thinking of going to spotlight tomorrow to grab some swiss voile to make a grain bag, i went over to craftbrewer today and picked up 500g of pale crystal malt and want to add say 200g to my next brew, I know you steep it at 70 degrees for about 30 min then rinse, but i was just wondering what you guys keep your grain in during the steep and if you made your own bags if you had any tips? DavidP17
I just use a coffee plunger - easy as [biggrin] oh good idea! So after 30 min you just pour the liquor out and then fill the plunger back up to 'rinse' it? do you shake it or anything or just let it soak for another 30 seconds and pour it back out? Would a 1L coffee plunger be enough or do you need 2L for 200g additions?
DavidP17
Have done some reading and perhaps a 2L plunger is the way to go?
