KevinB7
I have had a look on the 'old' posts and find that this has come up before, see http://www.coopers.com.au/the-brewers-guild/talk-brewing?g=posts&t=2685 and http://www.coopers.com.au/the-brewers-guild/talk-brewing?g=posts&t=3248. I am getting a leak from the seal that fits into the FV and not actually through the tap. This is only after 4 brews. Anyone come up with a solution?? TonyW
Olive oil on the rubber parts, mine has completely fixed itself and no leaking at all for 3 brews
Guest
Olive oil on the rubber parts' date=' mine has completely fixed itself and no leaking at all for 3 brews[/quote'] +1 same here. Also the tap is a lot easier to use obviously due to the lube. A little bit of oil doesn't affect the head either.
KevinB7
What you are saying then is that olive oil on the inner tap rubber makes the tap easier to turn so that when turned it does not dislodge the seal with the FV as mine leaks from the bigger seal that seals the tap to the FV not the inner tap seal. This then drips from between the FV and the tap not through the tap.
TonyW
Just coat all rubber parts with a thin layer of Olive Oil, i actually spray all parts. This has fixed the leaking tap and the seal between the body of the FV.

Mine was not the tap itself either but when I would turn the tap the wall of the FV would flex and the leak would be where the tap enters the FV. All good now [joyful]
