davor Posted October 17, 2011 Share Posted October 17, 2011 hi just started my Irish stout [4 days] ,but hardly any head in micro brewery,[its the new 1 with krasen collar]hydro test suggests its working & tasted sound,but all the ones i have seen have really big elaborate heads ,also man in shop said i could use coke bottles to bottle do y think i could use 2 litres size ??,cheers davo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Muddy Waters Posted October 17, 2011 Share Posted October 17, 2011 You can use PET soft drink bottles but you must make sure to always store them in the dark. I routinely fill at least one 1.25L softdrink bottle each time I bottle a batch and have never had a problem as I make sure they are stored in pitch black conditions until I need them.
