Pistnbroke
I think I have finally got the gist of turning out some decent enough beer! The batch ive currently got down now is a simple one, but has turned out much better than expected: Thomas Coopers Heritage lager tin 1KG BE2 250G dex 12G Cascade teabag steeped for 10min, hop tea and bag thrown in together 12G Nelson Sauvin teabag steeped for 10min, hop tea and bag thrown in together US05 Yeast fermenting at 16C I couldn't resist the temptation, and had a little sample whilst checking the current SG this morning, and wow! I think its an indication of things to come, which can only get better from here on in! The Cascade and NS combo is brilliant! I think the only mistake I have made with this batch its not as hoppy as I was hoping. I steeped 1 x 12G of cascade and 1 x 12G of nelson sauvin teabags, which I think I should have quick boiled instead to extract a bit more flavour and aroma, and perhaps even added a bit more of each. All in all though, very pleased with the results so far, and I think this ones going to be my best to date.

Guest
you can always just dry hop some more now.. just throw in another 20-30g of pellets, wrap em in a chux cloth, throw em right in whatever way wont matter but you will get another burst of flavour/aroma from it and it sounds as though this is what you are after.
