Hairy
Here is an article on craft beer from the Sydney Morning Herald. It's good to see craft beer getting a write up. SMH - Craft Beer It isn't a bad little write up. Although I'm not too sure about the Marris Otter hops in the Mildura Mallee Bull Strong or the Stone and Wood that is still fermenting in bottle months after it has been bottled [unsure]
RussellB5
Its a good article - I grew up on Emu Bitter and Swan Lager and still appreciate both when I go home (though maybe not anymore) but the shear number of impressive Australian craft beers available at a reasonable price now their really is no reason to drink commercial beer other than desperation Coming from WA and now living in Tassie, there are so many standout craft and micro beers in both states it makes you proud to attempt to replicate the styles in home brewing
Hairy
Definitely some great breweries in WA & Tassie. They are starting to pop up everywhere now. There is a lot more choice. Which is good for the consumer.
