Guest
I have done an Unreal Ale recipe from this site and it says to bottle at 1012 or when you get 2 readings the same. My Gravity reading at the moment is 1004. I feel I should be right to keg it now but the Gravity is still falling and I assume it may end up like my last couple of brews where as it just kept falling even below 1000. Should I stick it in the keg now or wait longer?
PB2
If you plan to drop it to a keg fitted with a pressure relief valve and force carbonate, achieving FG is not so critical. [biggrin]
Guest
Thanks mate, I was thinking something along those lines regarding the kegs myself. However, I will have about 3-4 bottles left over so maybe I just need to keep an eye on the bottles as well. They will be PET bottles so if they do blow at least I wont have shards of glass everywhere. Just a pleasant smelling cupboard [biggrin]
PB2
Check the PETs after about 2 weeks. If rock hard, chill one down and sample. If you consider it to be too fizzy, it's a simple task to release excess pressure from the remaining PETs.
