The Brew Master
Alex, If your tap water is drinkable & does not have an odour, you should be fine. Cheers, Peter
johng12
I have used both but mostly tap water, didn't really taste any difference in the final beer. Recently i just bought some calcium sulphate to treat the water to see if this makes a difference.
LeonardC2
I was watching youtube this morning,& the James Brewery guy said in one of his vids that you don't want chlorine in your brew. How much is bad, though? On my 1st batch,I used at least half of the 23L as boiled water at warm room temp. So I guess that shouldn't be too bad. I'd like to get another one of those 2gallon water filter tanks,if Brita still makes them. The filter pitcher looks a lil small,& would take longer to fill'er up. And the tank has a tap on it as well, making the job a bit easier.
Muddy Waters
Sydney water is pretty good. I really don't think it would be any better to use filtered or bottled water.
PB2
If you can smell the chlorine, there is too much chlorine.
