Lagering in keg

Hi brains trust 🙂

I’ve just put this in the fermenter: https://www.diybeer.com/au/recipe/light-german-bock.html

After it’s finished fermenting, I was thinking of giving it some time to “lager” in the keg before drinking.

Just wondering what peoples opinions are on either gassing it before lagering, or after?

Not keen on priming it in the keg cause of sediment.

Cheers :)

I lager it while it is gassing up. I don't fast carb it, I just leave it on serving pressure and leave it alone for a few weeks...yeah right 🙂

In bottles, you carb it up before you lager it, so I do the keg that way too.

+1 for what AussieKraut said. You can do either but personally I carbonate while it is lagering. If you dont want to do that. Put about 30psi in the keg and leave it then just add to it at serving pressure every week.  Also if possible best to lager cold.
