AnthonyB3
hey all, first timer here, got a diy kit for chrissie so fingers crossed for the first batch. i do have one quick question for now: i went to take an SG sample this arvo and found that there was a lot of sediment IN the tap at the bottom of the fermenter. is this normal or do i need to do something so get rid of it? cheers
JohnS12
Stick two CD covers under the front of the tap end of your drum so the sediment falls to the back leave for a day and then take a reading this may help.
Muddy Waters
You should always draw some beer into the tube and discard it before filling it again. Sediment cans sometimes gather around the tap. Also, don't turn the tap on too strong.
