peterg10
G-day all. Ok here is one for the masters- i made on the 25/11 a canadian blond with BE2 and 250gms malt used the kit yeast.OG 1061 temp a steady 24 but one day at 27. its now the 8/12 and the SG was 1014 for 2 days- i was going to bottle but it dropped again-now at 1012 and the airlock has slight movement. Any ideas where the FG should be at?
Muddy Waters
It should be pretty much done. Give it a day or two and take another reading. Extra time in the fermentor after fermentation is always a good thing so just take your time and bottle when you are ready. Oh, and ignore the airlock - they are useless [biggrin]
PB2
An OG of 1061 is too high for that recipe, assuming you made it to 23litres. Perhaps your hydro reads incorrectly - should read 1000 in tap water at 20C. or You didn't mix the brew homogenously or you did not discard the first runnings out of the tap. As Muddy said, stable SG over a couple of days, have a smell and a taste to make sure it tastes okay and it's good to bottle. [biggrin]
AnthonyR1525228508
I recently bottled almost the same mix. Canadian Blonde + 1kg brewing sugar + 250g LDM. The OG was 1052 and the FG was 1010 after about 6 days. I had similar temps as what you describe, too.
