Slurtis Staggersalot
OG is 1062 and the hydrometer sample tastes really good. I think I will save my last few glass bottles for this batch.
Stout Dave
I tried a bottle of the Best Extra Stout recipie today, beautiful stuff. I must control myself and keep a good few to age, luckily there is the normal coopers stout batch I did.

My helper was telling me the other day that he doesn't have OCD, he said "It's CDO! the letters have to be in order dammit!" he repeated it several times while rocking back and forth. Good help is so hard to find though and he's a really good helper [biggrin]
The Brew Master
.....Muddy,.............I had that "Nut Brown Ale" this afternoon! It was fantastic, a bit of a shame that it is not made anymore. [annoyed] Cheers, Peter
Muddy Waters
Lovely! Glad you enjoyed it Peter. Apparently it isn't what the kids today want in beer...it's all low carb, low slung jeans and the hippity hop music [biggrin]

Slurtis Staggersalot
It looks like this batch is going to finish at 1014 giving me an ABV of just under 7%. Does that sound about right guys? I was expecting it to finish a little lower, so I might put this batch in PET bottles tomorrow night if it doesn't move anymore.
Kearnage
That FG sounds pretty close - I don't have my brew notes with me but I'm pretty sure mine was about that maybe a point or 2 lower (using 2 cans + 1 kg dex, 23 L) Dan
Slurtis Staggersalot
Thanks for that Kearnage, it looks like I will be bottling tomorrow I'll take another sample just out of curiosity. This brew has been in the FV close to a month though so I don't imagine it's going to move any... but the samples are pretty tasty [happy] I did use the 2 cans and 1kg of dex and filled to the 23l mark.
