SamK
[ninja] Pardon my ignorance my brothers of brew, but what are the best lighting conditions to ferment my wort?? My first batch bubbles in the light but not in the dark, does she need constant light or a regular day/night cycle or just a full-on dark side experience?? All info appreciated!! Cheers (for the beers) Sam[ninja]
Muddy Waters
Keep it away from direct light from fluorescents but other than that I wouldn't be too worried unless you have studio lighting in your home. Light or dark shouldn't make a difference to your airlock bubbling - It is probably more to do with temperature. I ferment in a temp controlled fridge so I can only assume that the light goes out when I close the door [lol]
rossm
....just as an aside there Muddy, do you know how to test the light to be sure it is going off?..........when you open the door feel the globe, if it is warm it hasn't been off!.......clever huh?....[roll]
