Lettuce
Hello there, I'm on my 5th Cooper's brew, I did the Strong IPA as recommended in the brewing section (1kg LDM, 500g Dextrose, IPA tin to 20L). Everything seemed to be going well. I filled a flask to do the hydrometer reading, added the yeast to the barrel and moved the barrel to its usual brewing spot. As the flask was quite bubbly I left it to settle so I could read the hydrometer, when I came back say 30 minutes later there were quite clearly, before unseen, undissolved bits of LDM. Will this adversely affect the brew? Will it just leave more sediment at the bottom? Should I try and fix it? Ta
PB2
RDW [cool] It will dissolve with a little time (30mins or so) and the yeast will metabolise it during the course of fermentation.
