D-Lock
Hey paul, or anyone else! lol Just wondering how long a brew can be left in PET bottles without any issues.
PB2
We recommend using PET if storing for 18mths or less. Beyond 18mths, go for sturdy glass designed for re-filling. It's easy to keep tabs on how your brew is going in PET by using the "squeeze test". Also, PET may fail if stored in a hot environment for long periods. Keeping beer in the tin roof shed, out in full sun, over summer is not a good idea!! Yes, people actually ring to complain about failed PETs when they have subjected them to +50C on a daily basis.
D-Lock
Well mine are kept in a cupboard that doesn't get above about 18 degrees (hot water cylinder is next to it) so they should be right. Thanks Paul!
