Rutherglen Rambler Posted June 17, 2009 Share Posted June 17, 2009 A question for paul, is it possible to use liquid malt with these kits? Will the yeast be able to handle it? I would like to experiment with them a bit! I don't know if this is a silly question or not? I have heard that if you use Liquid malt with the original series lager the yeast supplied with it doesn't like it. I wouldn't mind trying the European Lager with 1.5Kg liquid malt to see how it goes! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If only using the 7g sachet of yeast supplied, make sure to start it at 22C-24C for the first 12 hours (or so) then draw down to about 15C for the rest of fermentation.
