Darren1525228545
Ive recently bottled a Canadian Blonde and Brewmaster wheat beer. Both brews were done as per the recipies on the can and both were bottled at 1008fg. I usually open 1 bottle of each brew after a week just to see how they are going. When i opened a bottle of each they were quite flat. I added 2 carb drops to the 750ml bottles and other bottles have been carbonated after a week and i cant work out why these are flat?? the only thing i can think of is the lids. I checked them all, they were tight although i was able to screw each one about another 1/4 of a turn would this have been enough to allow gas to escape? And if a brew has been bottled for a week or so are you able to add another carb drop and reseal, will this damage the brew in any way?? Im quite bemused at the moment as all the bottles were sterelized thoroughly, any help appreciated.
Greg B
Probably the cold weather. Give 'em another 2 or 3 weeks and all will be good. Cheers, Greg
PB2
I agree with Greg. Also, try resuspending the yeast sediment and store the bottles for at least 7 days in a cupboard at or above 20C.
