Hi Guys,

Seeing as Coopers no longer produce the Thomas Coopers brew (had a great light honey flavour), I was wondering if anyone had a recipe to brew it, or a clone (either partial mash or all grain).

I've noticed a couple of honey ales emerging in the beer market, but thought Thomas Coopers was one of the better tasting examples.

Amarillo seems to be the dominant hops, but would welcome any advice on grain, malt & hop mix.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

G'day Ken,

I guess you a referring to Thomas Coopers Finest Export?? The only hop used for this bright beer was PoR.

Go for a fairly neutral english ale yeast.

I wonder whether some of the "honeyed" characters you mention was as a result of pasteurising and age in the bottle?? It was a very slow mover, hence being deleted.
