Chiro
Well just tried a couple of these this week. WOW how good are they. Might even take 1st place a s my favourite. I have mad the Vintage ale in the recipe section here and it never lets me down http://www.coopers.com.au/the-brewers-guild/how-to-brew/strong/extra-strong-vintage-ale The hops in the ESVA this year are said to be Citra, Centennial, Chinook and Styrian golding. I had all of them but the styrian golding. My order of styrian golding arrived this week. So a question for all of you hop heads that have tried it. What ratios of each would you use to dry hop in the Vintage recipe above to try get close to the original? Was thinking 40% Citra, 30% Styrian Golding,20% Chinook and 10% of Centennial. I don't like Centennial when it's overdone. Thoughts?
PhilboBaggins
I dunno Chiro. I love all of those hops, including Styrians, but I reckon I'd be hard pressed to taste them when combined with any of those other hops. I wonder at what stage of the brewing process they are used? Others will be more help than me (as usual [biggrin]).
TimZ1525228685
I think more 'research' is needed! My impression is that 40% Citra would blow the rest of that away...

've had citra for a while but haven't got around to using it yet.
