c47216
I new to the home brewing and have brewed about half a dozen beer brews. I decided to brew a Ginger Beer batch and followed the instructions but it kept popping from the air lock for 13 days. The main problem with this batch is it turned out to be flat. Where have I gone wrong? ( I'm still drinking it as its very refreshing) Morrie.
PB2
G'day Morrie. Welcome to our forum. If you can, have a go at sorting out your alias. Ignore your airlock - bottle your beer when you have 2 SG readings the same over 2 days. Flat beer is normally as a result of not waiting long enough for the bottles to condition, lack of priming sugar or bottles stored at a temperature too low for the yeast to work (try to keep them at or above 18degC for the first week or so).
