IzacF Posted March 27, 2013 Share Posted March 27, 2013 hi fellas i think ive got my first infected beer. i made a coopers pale ale, i used Ikg BE2 but steeped Super Alpha hops 15g at the start.....i bottled it 17/2 and thought no more about it. i was just sitting out on the verandah with father in law and poured him one...seemd darker than normal( i thought cos of the hops) then i poured my glass and it was as thick as hell...you couldnt see through it etc. i wasnt game to drink it.i held the bottles up to the light and i could see the sediment swirlling round etc...ive never had this before>>>any suggestions. im tipping the lot out tomorrow...whole frkn brew wasted. bummer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Whatever it is it won't kill you' date=' seriously [biggrin'] I'm sure you have taken more risks than this in your day [innocent] i had a sip and it was very twangy which i put down to hops at first.....only trouble is i cant afford to drink anything "wrong" at the moment after all the treatment.Its weird as hell and does not look good at all. i might let it sit a month or so more and see what happens.
