Levi
Has anyone had any issues with drops not dissolving? I have had a batch that was bottled on 25/06/06, and still find residue from drops that will not completely dissolve. I am using water from a 'pura-tap' filter. PB2
Coopers Carbo Drops should dissolve within about 1 hour. You are not describing the yeast sediment by any chance? What does the residue look like?
Levi
Hard to tell through the brown PET bottle, it looks like a sticky white paste that clings to the sides. Slowly mixes back into the beer when you turn the bottle a lot.
capretta
thats definately the yeast.perfectly normal.yeast will multiply slightly during secondary (bottle) fermentation and also settle out of solution giving a creamy deposit on the bottom.taste it and you will find it is quite yeasty tasting, not sweet.
