Matty A
Hi All, After a couple of months off All Grain I had decided to give it a go again as I had a few days spare over the weekend. I brew double batched of beer so I had brewed Dr Smurto's Golden Ale and Landlord which both used to quite regularly be in rotation at home. Another one that was on rotation (and my favourite home brew) is called the Barely Legal IPA and unfortunately I can not give reference to the person who come up with the recipe. The recipe is: Mash at 67C - 68C for 60-75 minutes Sparge (I batch sparge) at 77 5.5kgs Briess 2-row 400 grams Caramel 60 400 grams Carapils 200 grams Caramel 120 200 grams Caramel Munich 100 grams Breiss Victory (I wasn't able to get all of these grains but the LHBS substituted them and said they were essentially the same thing) 90 minute boil 28 grams of Chinook (Mash Hop) 28 grams of Chinook at 60 57 grams of Centennial at 15 57 grams of Cascade at 5 57 grams of Cascade at flameout I ferment for roughly 18 days in the primary and then put in secondary and add 28 grams of Chinook 28 grams of Centennial 28 grams of Cascade 21 L in the fermenter I leave it in secondary for a week and then keg it. My favourite (yet expensive) brew. I got to cube 2 of these the other day and will be putting one on to ferment tonight. Shame I don't know the source of the recipe.
