Pistnbroke
Gday All Gave SWMBO's father a stubbie of this for xmas, really enjoyed it and wouldnt mind having a crack at something similar. For those of you unfamiliar with this beer, it has a golden amber colour, and the tastes present are oak and toffee backed by a malty backbone and subtle fruitiness. This one might be difficult i think! Does anyone have any suggestions for a recipe? My guess for getting the oak taste in there would be to use oak chips, though im unsure how successful this would be.
Canadian Eh!L
Hey Pist, I've used oak schips with success in my Big Island IPA. I simply sprinkle the chips in at the same time as the yeast @ ferment. Give it a go![cool]
