Peter in the ACT
Paul, I note on the recent instructions that accompany the Brew Kits it states that the % of alcohol that is made during the secondary fermentation process has risen from 0.2 to 0.5% (an increase of 0.3%). You previously advise me that the "Approximate" Alcohol % By Volume as indicated on the Brewing Sugars i.e. BE2 @ 4.7%, took into account the ABV made during the secondary fermentation. Does this mean that the Approx Alcohol Content for a BE2 would now be closer to 5%? Just out of interest how were you able to ascertain that the % of alcohol made during the secondary fermentation process was now 0.5% when for many years it was thought to be 0.2%? Cheers Peter
PB2
Although the formula has changed, the "APPROX. ALCOHOL CONTENT" table on the Coopers Brewing Sugars does not require amending. These figures where derived from testing various samples with an electronic alcohol meter.
