benken25 Posted May 23, 2011 Share Posted May 23, 2011 Put down a brew yesterday the recipe goes like this 1 can coopers stout 1 can coopers dark ale 1 kg ldme 15ml liquorice extract 10g cluster hop pellets bolied with malt for 10 mins 15g cluster hop pellets thrown in the fv loose 30ml vanilla essance both kit yeasts the og was approx 1080 so im guessing this will be a really big stout any guess what fg I will get. Biermoasta Posted May 23, 2011 Share Posted May 23, 2011 My toucan stout started at 1.073 and finished at 1.014. Your recipe has more malt than mine did, so assuming it was made up to 23 litres (?) I would guess (a very rough guess at that) that it would maybe finish around 1.017. In saying that, don't trust estimates of final gravity as it can change due to many factors, instead just rely on a stable hydrometer reading over a few days.[cool] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
