MattC10
Hello everyone. I recently read about a guy who makes a brew (stout I believe) with spruce tips from the trees in his backyard! Supposedly it adds a unique aroma and flavor. This seems very exotic to me... and might be something I would try in the near future. Not in stout though... my brother thinks that the pine might enhance the flavor of an IPA... any thoughts on this?
PB2
You might get an idea of how they would go by making an infusion and have a smell and a taste. The Ausssie Pride of Ringwood (PoR) hop is known to produce pine, resin like characters if used as a late hop.
