LucasM
I have been reading intensely about cultivating Coopers Yeast. I've been brewing for about four years and tried quite a few premium yeasts from the local home brew store. Recently, I have brewed the following in 23 litres of water: 1 can Coopers Real Ale 300g dextrose 500g Rice Malt 30 grams cluster flowers @ 15 mins boil 100g roast malt grain @ 20 mins steep 10g fuggles hops pellets after 3 days fermenting 5g tettnang hops pellets after 6 days fermenting Yeast cultivated from six Coopers Pale Ale stubbies It turned out amber in colour. It looks appealing to drink. Anyone who has made the real ale knows how great it tastes once your pallet gets used to it. But, the coopers yeast really rivals some of the more expensive yeasts I've purchased and the one available with the kit. It's fruity, but clean. Iv\xe9 used this same yeast 2 more times and it keeps making a high quality brew. It ferments at a whole range of temps. After a few years brewing, it is the change I have been looking for to make my brews something that I am proud to give my mates. Cheers, and thanks for the cultivating tips Lucas M

Muddy Waters
Yeah, I agree Lucas, the recultured Coopers yeast is great. It works hard and leaves that true Coopers' taste. Love it!
