Mash
Hey all, i'm kinda new to brewing and would like to know if carbo drops make a better beer than priming sugar? I know the sugar CAN sometimes be a pain, but which is the better option? Cheers guys :D
Oliver
I've never had any dramas with sugar. Sugar v. carbonation drops is mainly a question of convenience. But I like using sugar because you can make slight adjustments to the quantity of priming sugar, like adding less to a stout, for instance. Some people will also suggest you forget both and go with bulk priming. This is where you transfer all the finished beer to another fermenter (to get it off the yeast bed), then stir in a solution of sugar and bottle. Greg B
Or try one of these: http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1302 Although I bulk prime most of my batches I will probably use this method where I am bottleing the whole batch to one size of bottle. Cheers, Greg
