guest1525228310
Just building a stir plate for someone and got this item: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DC-motor-speed-controller-governor-Adjustable-voltage-regulator-module-PWM-6-40V-/261137600127?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ccd038e7f I know there are heaps of options and threads discussing this topic but thought I might give some current feedback. Anyone thinking of building a stirplate could do a hell of a lot worse than buying this unit. I have it connected to an old printer power adapter (output 12.2V DC) and it has amazing control over the speed of a fan motor. Output voltage can be varied smoothly from 1.83V - 11.8V DC (measured with my Fluke). It is possible to literally slow the bar to a stall or wind it up to full speed. It beats my other PWN controller hands down for fine control of speed. I know his yeast are going to love it as much as he will.
