Scottie
Hi Guys & Gals I'm sitting back enjoying my latest beer that was brewed using Coopers Commercial yeast and thinking how much it cost me [unsure]. An economic lesson for you to share with your better half when justifying a spend on Coopers Australian Pale Ale at the Bottle Shop. Coopers longnecks $55 a dozen (Okay so you mainlanders can get them from Dan's for $47) White Labs WLP009 yeast $12 a vile. 640ml home brew bottles $15 a dozen. So Buy the dozen long necks, re-culture the yeast from three of them (four times) and when you've drank them add them to your bottle stocks for refilling. $55 - $48 - $15 I actually end up in the black by $8. Mainlanders can claim a benefit of $17 A down payment on some quality homebrew supplies [w00t]. That's gotta be the easiest sell to the Missus or Hubby [biggrin]
