Jimmy78
Hi folks Just a quick one... Has anybody here brewed the ginger beer following the Coopers Recipe of just adding 1kg of raw sugar? A Couple of points I have noticed. - It is day 3 and it is now just starting to foam up. - Very low SG 1.024. (Not a massive problem as it says it is mid strength, as long as it ends up with a low FG it will end up somewhere around 3.5% after secondary fermentation.) Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks and regards!
Muddy Waters
Hi Jimmy - It should get down to around 1.000 which with your OG should give you a mid strength GB. Also, GB often takes several weeks to ferment out fully so don't rush it into the bottle. It'll also take longer for it to carb up once bottled.
