DylanC5
Afternoon all. I started brewing myself some ginger beer, it's been brewing for the past 2 days. I took a sample to read the gravity (seems to be coming along quite well) but it didn't have much of a ginger flavour. Will it taste more gingery the longer it sits? or should I add some ginger powder? (I used ginger essence originally) Cheers.
PB2
You could try a piece of Ginger - grate about 2.5cm of it and drop it into about 500ml of water, just on the boil for about a minute. Then strain through a chux cloth (pulled straight out of the packet) and tie the corners of the cloth to hold the grated ginger. Add the liquid plus the ginger into the brew. LordEoin
it will get a bit more gingery when the sugar is eaten up, but adding more ginger is a good idea.
