Wayne (Captain Yobbo) Posted June 27, 2012 Share Posted June 27, 2012 Hi guys was wondering what a 2 can APA with 200 - 500g of crystal malt and with amarillo and cascade hops would be like im starting to be keen for steeping grains now and was wondering if it would complement the APA kits. Gash Slugg Posted June 27, 2012 Share Posted June 27, 2012 I brewed an APA 2-can a few months ago with 250g Crystal 70 300g dex with cascade + fuggles (was all I had at the time) think its was about 12g of each for 10mins and then dry hopped some more of each turned out nice, your choice of hops looks better. Wayne (Captain Yobbo) Posted June 27, 2012 Author Share Posted June 27, 2012 I have chinhool fuggles amarillo and cascade in the freezer i made a APA with just 30g cascade for 15 mins and then 5 g 5 mins 1kg light dry malt and 300 dex It tasted pretty close to little creatures pale ale but thought it would be nice if I made a maltier version with the crystal malt and 2 cans plus 15 g of each hop for 15 mins each as I said something different and special ready for my bday [biggrin] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
