Wayne (Captain Yobbo)
I bought a few varieties of hops online amarillo, chinhook, cascade and fuggles and i was wanting to know which ones would be suited for a mexican cerveza and also sparkling ale these are what i have on hand at the moment and when i use them i boil them cheers in advance
LordEoin
i was thinking of adding cascade to my next cerveza for a citrus/grapefruit aroma. chinook or fuggles would probably be overpowering for such a mild kit. (but i only know chinook from what i've read) haven't played with an ale kit yet, but seeing as you have amarillo and cascade you could go for a Fruit salad or something similar. Here's some bits and pieces i've saved from websites over time: Amarillo : The aroma is described as flowery, spicy and citrus-like with a distinct orange bouquet. Cascade : pleasant, flowery and spicy, citrus-like quality with a slight grapefruit characteristic chinook : for the teeth-clenching hophead, Spicy, PINEY (like toilet duck), grapefruit; in abundance Fuggles : Superb in English-style ales. Woody, earthy, pleasant vegetal.

Zippee
I did this Coopers Cerveza 500Gm Orange Blossom Honey 500Gm LDME 1 x Cascade Hop bag, steeped and tossed into FV After reaching FG, I popped it in the old fridge acquired the day before and let it chill... bottled a few days later and a few weeks in a friend with more discerning tastes said "don't change the recipe"
