Evil Clown
I live in a cold climate area in an old very cold house and I'm struggling to find areas above 18C inside [crying] . I do have access to an area where the temperature at night falls to around 1-2C but can rise to around 30-40C during the day. Would storing the beer in this place with the vast temperature range for carbonation have any negative impact on the beer? What would be the maximum temperature that the beer could go to without harm during carbonation and what would be the maximum time to leave it in this area without damaging the beer? Guest
Hey mate sounds like my shed in summer where my brew is kept it should be fine. Id say still drinkable up to a year my beer never makes it past 5 months max mostly consumed at 1 or 2 months. But as long as the bottles are warming up during the day they will carbonate properly. But if your room constantly gets up to mid 30s you may want to slightly reduce the priming sugar added to bottle. cheers mate. [happy]
Guest
I have no idea of the answers you are seeking sorry. However, I know I certainly would not subject my beer to such a vast temperature change that's for sure.
