CoryD
im just wondering has anyone here tried a cola beer? i love beer, i love coco cola, but has anyone succesfully made a cola beer? from reading other forum ive learnt that the sugars in coca cola aint fermentable, but has anyone heard of someone using the flavors used in cola to make a beer, the flavors being bergamont, cardamom, vanilla, all spice/ nutmeg and cinnamon, (from reasearch) and steeping them or mixxing them into the wort? just being curious here
AdamH1525226084
Isn't there a "Cola" nut? I've seen that on the ingredients for a "natural" cola drink. EDIT yes it is see here The Germans have a drink called "Diesel" which is just coke added to a beer.
LordEoin
The sugar in coke is probably fermentable fine (sucrose and fructose), but the phosphoric acid would kill anything alive in a brew, just like adding starsan to your wort(same ingredient). I suppose the Germans add it at drinking time.
