How to use hops for Flavour late in the boil??

I heard if you want flavour and aroma from hops you add them late in the boil.

I have only ever dry hopped but I want to try and do a boil this time.

I have read heaps of info about it but I\u2019m still not 100% sure.

Can someone tell me how they would boil Cascade and Willamette hops for flavour and aroma please.

400g DME + 4 lt water, bring to boil and set timer to 20 mins

20mins add hops

10mins add hops

5 mins add hops

flame out add hops

strain and add to FV and proceed as normal

dry hop if you want

Do I boil some at 20min

Then add some more 10mins

Then add some more for 5mins

Then take off heat and add some more?

You don't have to do all the steps, these are the most common times and what I use. You may choose 20 10 and 0 mins, personally I do all of them but I'm mad for hops[lol]

At 0 min, put the lid on and leave for 5 mins then strain into fv, be warned, the strainer will block pretty quick, I have a pot of boiling water at the ready to rinse the sieve out and then pour again.

Mmmmmmm hops[love]

A pot of boiling water at the ready..... Never thought of that. Yob, Coopers should hire you to re-write their brewing instructions.
