GeorgeB
I put down my first ever ginger beer a couple of weeks ago, as per the recipe in the "How To Brew" section, to 20 litres. As I will be using various sizes of bottles, I want to batch prime it with dextrose. Ginger beer isn't listed on the on-line bulk priming calculator. Can someone tell me if ginger beer should be carbonated as, for example, a light lager, or a pale ale? Thanks in advance.
Guest
I don't know how Ginger Beer "should" be carbonated but I suggest to do it at your rate of your desired volume of C02. i.e. if you don't like it really fizzy then maybe 1.5-2L otherwise raise it higher or lower to suit your own tastes. I like mine well carbed so I would do mine to 2.5-3L but that's me.
Canadian Eh!L
Hey George, I'm with BillK. I like my GB with some fizz, served ice cold.[smile]
