I take my hat off to Coopers.

Made my first brew using Coopers Bavarian Lager. Became dissapointed with the taste  , or lack thereof, a week after secondary fermentation. Put it all into my sister-in-laws old fridge and didn't touch it for two months. Opened a bottle today and to my great suprise :o , it was superb. It wasn't perfect, but despite it being brewed @ 25 degrees, it does tastes like a true lager and it was suprisingly clear. I never expected it to taste this good.

Next time I'll ferment the Bavarian Lager @ 16-20 degrees, use Coopers 1.5kg Light Malt Extract, add some finishing hops for aroma (Hallertau or Hersbrucker) and I think I'll have a spectacular lager with not too much effort. 8)

Great to hear that your brew came good.

Lagers benefit immensely from conditioning time.

It is for this reason that I harped on in the latest newsletter about brewing Lagers now for summer drinking.
