Jazman
Does anyone know whether the the Coopers stout is a different yeast to the Pale/Sparkling Ale?
PB2
We use the same strain, which is nearly as old as Coopers Brewery LTD, for all our bottle-conditioned ales. So if you are looking to culture up some yeast go for the highest volume product, Original Pale Ale, or at least check for the most recent BEST AFTER date. This should ensure that you have yeast with the highest viability - ratio of live yeast cells to dead ones. Don't worry about the best after date if you are only planning to drink it. Hello to all those who browse the Grumpy Site!! I have seen a few inaccuracies about our products on other websites. Don't forget, if you want to get accurate information about a product ask the people who make it!!
