DenisM
I'm going to have a crack at a batch of Brewmasters Irish stout in a couple of days, the company I order from recommends 1.2 Kgs of Coopers light liquid malt extract. I have seen other recommendations that say a kilo of medium DME is better, any suggestions? I think the liquid sounds the better option but this is only my 4th batch and I would like to get it right, and how bout using the whole can rather than 1.2Kgs of it? Biermoasta
I've done it with the whole can (1.5kg) of light liquid malt extract, and it turned out beautiful [love] Strongly recommend it. Or you could try the Coopers recommended recipe: 1.7kg Thomas Coopers Irish Stout 500g Light Dry Malt 300g Dextrose But I haven't tried that recipe, so I can't comment on whether it is good or not. jasond4
I to have done this with 1.5kgs light liquid malt and a little Mt Hood hops for a little extra. Turned out great, totaly loved it. I did keg it and used BOC Cellar mix to give it that "smooth flow" style. Give it ago with what you've got, you can't go wrong with that kit.[w00t]
