very little froth

Every brew is different. Some will have a lot of krausen,some very little,some non at all. This can also be altered by the form of yeast you pitch. Weather that be dry,re-hydrated,or a starter. That's been my experience so far.

Starters seem to produce the most krausen,& need a blow off for the 1st few days before switching to an airlock.
