500g Smoked malt (grains)

1.7Kg OS Dark ale

300g raw cane sugar

15g fuggles 30mins

10g fuggles 5mins

14g cooper's kit yeast


this is my first try at using some grains in my brew. has anyone heard of smoked (smokey) malt? i can't find any literature on it.[annoyed] i'm using them anyway!

this is the next one on the to-do list. maybe this weekend.


i've been mulling over whether it should be 21L or 23L. i think 21L would make a better beer. what do you think?
