StuartF2
Well, after 12 days in fermenter and 2 weeks in bottle I tasted my first brew and I was so chuffed [biggrin] Even though its still young it tastes great. I did the strawberry blonde recipe. I read ALOT on what type of honey to use so for those who are interested I used plain old off the shelf tesco clear honey and its gorgeous. Deep amber colour, mild honey aroma slightly sweet taste [love] I drink alot of good quality german beers and this is right up there! The head wasn't great but ive been told it might get better with time. Can't wait to see how it tastes with age. SMOTY ale this weekend, cant wait. This forum is a wealth of info for all newbie's, thanks to all the regulars for the priceless advice. Cheers, Stu.
Guest
It's great when you pull off a cracker of a drop [love] I am yet to do this recipe so can't really comment as I have heaps of others on the "to do" list so this one will have to wait a little. Guest
To be honest I can't really say that I have tried the Strawberry Clover Honey. It sounds nice though. Where did you get it from?
