scottb12
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and have already picked up heaps of good advice. I've been brewing for over a year now and absolutely love it. I have 50 grams of cascade hops pellets which I have used previously in a dark ale (it was exceptional). I was wondering what other types of beer I could add this to. Also i was told to keep the pellets in the fridge, how long will they last? Thanks & Cheers. Muddy Waters
Cascade works great in American Pale Ales Scott. I keeep mine in the fridge and use them as soon as I can but it is usually recommended to keep them in the freezer.
Kearnage
Scott, It is the classic aroma hop in American Pale Ales - so that seems a good place to start. I keep my hops in the freezer, they should last a few years that way, but they will keep OK in the fridge for shorter times. EDIT: well at least the advice is consistent[cool] Beat me to it Mr Waters. Dan
scottb12
Thanks for the quick replies. I'll be stopping off after work to buy an American Pale Ale. Happy drinking [biggrin]
Kearnage
If you want to use Coopers gear, start with the Australian Pale Ale can, add some LDM +/- a bit of dextrose and late hop with your cascade. Should be nice, and American PA style.
