geoffb17
Hi all Geoff here, this is not only the first post to your site but also the first time to try home brewing myself[crying] I have prepared a batch of Lager as per instructions and thought that i had dissolved everything correctly. I now notice after 6 hours that there is a white sediment on the bottom. Have I buggered something up ? Do i stir it or leave it? Any advice would be great.[happy]
GregT5
G'day Geoff. Welcome the the world of brewing. No there is nothing wrong with your brew. Leave it alone & it should be fine, that settlement is perfectly normal.[biggrin]
Kearnage
Geoff, you can relax. That is 'cold break' and is entirely normal, just material from the kit precipitating out, as it should do. Leave it and wait for signs of fermentation. While you do that, have a good read of the FAq's, helpful stuff. FAQ's Cheers Dan
