LloydW Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 Two days ago I put down a larger and it has not started to ferment yet.The temp is sitting at 28 and has sat at that temp since it was set down.It normally starts after 12 hours.Has anybody else had the same problem. Canadian Eh!L Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 temperature might be a bit high. what was the date on the yeast packet? maybe it wasn't viable anymore. have you taken a second S.G reading to confirm that it's not fermenting? Matty A Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 As Canadian said, what are the indications that it is not fermenting. Have you taken a Gravity Reading, no condensation on the lid, no foam, airlock not bubbling. If possible try and get the temperature down abit, even if its sitting it in a tub of water and ice.
