martycon
How much fermentable sugars, suc rose maltose etc is in a 1.5kg can of Coopers DIY Pale Ale. Or is it a well kept trade secret?
Cheap Charlie
Not a trade secret, it is easy to work out, just brew the can alone in a 23L batch of water. But to save yourself wasting time doing that I think the OG of a can in 23L of water will give you 1.028 and that will give you a bland beer of about 2.6-2.8%. A kilo of sugar or malts of some kind will bump that OG up to 1.040 or thereabouts giving you 4.5%+. Other more experienced members may correct me on those figures.
martycon
Thank you CC. I can calculate and add the contribution of added sugar, regards marty
