Kearnage Posted January 12, 2011 Share Posted January 12, 2011 The problem is that the refractometer doesn't give an accurate FG as alcohol messes with the result. There are some correction calculators around (? I think you need an OG anyway) so for me the hydrometer ends up being as accurate and much simpler and is my first choice.
