JohnV3
All my local home brew stores are closed for Chrissy and I am ready to brew a wheat but I am thinking of using the yeast that comes with the coopers selection IPA. I know American wheat styles tend to use an ale yeast over a wheat-specific yeast, but I was wondering if any of the experts here had any strong objections to this approach?[pinched]
PB2
It will ferment the brew but won't throw any "wheat yeast specific" characters.
JohnV3
Has anybody tried mixing yeasts...e.g. a wheat & ale yeasts for a ale recipe, or wheat and ale yeasts for a wheat recipe....or for a lager recipe....I am interested to know what people thought of the results.[alien]
